4 Tips to Fight Constipation

Constipation, an intestinal problem that particularly affects the female population, can really make you suffer and have repercussions on your daily life.

We talk about constipation when you go to the toilet less than three times a week. Here are five tips to help your bowels work better and fight constipation in a natural way

1. Exercise

It sometimes takes very little to encourage a normal elimination. A little exercise and presto – your stomach just needed to be a little stressed. But for regular constipation, you need to have frequent physical activity. Running, abdominal workouts, muscle building, swimming… Choose the sport you like, to combine business with pleasure, and be regular.

It is also possible, in the morning when you wake up, to massage your belly in small circular motions. These gestures can be done by hand or with massage tools readily available in pharmacies and drugstores. Begin at the right side of the abdomen, continue to the lower ribs and then to the left side and then slowly descend to the part below the navel.

2. Eat more fiber

To get rid of constipation or to avoid constipation, it is necessary at all costs to ensure a proper balance in your diet. The key is fruits, vegetables and fiber. Here are some foods to eat: plums, prunes, grapes, green vegetables, wholemeal bread, bran, dried beans, lentils, split peas, whole flours, soya, oats, dry beans, almonds, dried figs, dry coconuts.

On the other hand, some foods are to be avoided, such as milk (except in the form of yoghurt), white bread, pasta, rice (except full and high fiber), meat, cheese, chocolate, tea, sugar, pastries and commercially packaged cereals.

3. Drink more water

It takes a lot of water every day (1.5 liters), to facilitate the transit of waste. It's not just water that can help you. In the morning, on an empty stomach, drink a glass of fresh citrus juice mixed with a tablespoon of olive oil. You can also make a small tonic of black radish juice. Drink one ampoule two to three times a day, before meals, for a week.

Our grandmothers also recommend a spoonful of olive oil mixed with half a lemon and a little salt, in the morning on an empty stomach. Always in the morning, on an empty stomach. You can also test the infusion of bindweed hedges. Mix fifteen grams of roots to one liter of water.

4. Go to the toilet at regular hours

To allow your body to the chance to break free, go to the bathroom regularly, even if you do not feel the urge. For example, every day in the late morning. Without forcing, take your time, massage your belly. Your stool will gradually become regular.

Some are regulated easily, others less so, but you can influence the laziest of intestines. Avoid laxatives consumed too regularly, because they make your intestines dependent and lazy. In case of severe pain or frequent, chronic constipation, consult your doctor.
